A La Limite Du Présent trilogy:
REVIEWS.
"[...] using a long term patchwork technique, he often constructs very short pieces that refer with a great sensibility to human beings, animals and nature. The 'folk' tone of the first volume, the more vocal one of the second and the more electronic one of the third, where some longer instrumentals are permitted, together form a coherent whole that is very personal, original and poetic."
Claude Colpaert for illico music magazine n.42, May 2019 (in french)

"[...] A lot of fine and creative work has gone into the making of Un Amour Infini and that's not hard to tell. The album flows with remarkable ease, despite clocking in at around 65', is guided with inspiration and imagination, it includes both "extreme" experimental parts and more "conventional" ones, it's evocative, its mix of instruments, voices and field recordings is constructive without depreciating the linearity and the expected narration. In short, Un Amour Infini shows that Christian Vasseur isn't just another composer / sound retailer but rather a musician with a vision and ideas, which he realizes according to a broader plan of notable functionality."

"Christian Vasseur is a French guitarist; he also studied playing the Renaissance lute. He often creates music in connection with photographic, dance, theater and film arts. He also composes music as a counterpoint to written or interpreted text, combining the acoustic sound of instruments and voice with electronics. He worked on the trilogy of recordings "A La Limite du Présent" during a four-month residency in the north of France (February-May 2017). He involved a lot of people in the project, including disabled pupils from special schools and prisoners. Their task was to write and then read haiku. Vasseur recorded and used it. He was then inspired by the sound of their voices. On the albums he not only played various guitars, live electronics or field recordings, but also piano and Indian harmonium. It should be added that the excellent trumpeter Noël Debéve is also a guest here. [...]"
